cracked block
had h2o show up in the oil department. upon inspection, between #2 cylinders, on top off the block, @ #1 bolt of the torque order, there is a crack .this crack extends from #1 bolt location outwards to the water jackets and the complete depth. my question is, has anyone used Lock-N- Stitch to repair is type of damage. by the way it was'nt me that POPEYED that bolt , the PO before be must have.

That is a common crack on F heads. Mine has it and yes I had the machine shop put a threaded plug just short of the outside stud between the valves. You are fine as long as that crack doesn't go into either of the central two valve pockets. Check your head above this area. Mine was cracked clear through the intake valve and spark plug hole on # 3. Had to find another head. They also decked both the block and head. You have to use a good thread sealant on the head bolts, and they go into the water jacket anyway, so I wouldn't get too worried. John
