F-134 engine block

So I have an engine block, It's an M38A1 block, with at serial number of
806279-W-12-D AR CY CR
What more does that info tell me?

That's probably the "Casting Number".
The engine (block) serial number is on the flat place just above the water pump and for a M38A1 the serial # would start with "MD".
Serial # looks like:

So the serial number is MD83103.

It won't tell a lot. Without your jeep's serial number as a reference point it really doesn't tell us anything.
The M38A1 had a much longer military career than it's predecessors the MB and M38. It is extremely rare to find an original to the jeep A1 engine installation. Also the spread between chassis/tub serials and engine serials rapidly widened during production from 2000 to as high as 6000.
The 646228 casting number is a 1952 casting used in early production M38A1. The 806279-W-12-D AR CY CR is the 53 and on production casting.
Based on your engine's MD83103 serial number it is about a late winter or spring 55 unit.

I don't know if I've every chased down the jeeps serial number.

There are no dash serial plate or right rear wheel house patent plate?
