Rear light mod for signals

In my quest to adding turn signals, I have modified the rear lights to run as modern lights in conjunction with my modified front markers. I gutted the stock set up and added 2 dual filament bulbs to run as markers and brake lights. I have designed a circuit with relays and a flasher to run the rears as brake/signal lights. I've got the schematics all worked out, just a matter of wiring it in now.
I don't know why but I found it was hard to come up with some red material for lenses. I ended up using some reflectors. I'm not 100% sure I like the way it looks but it should work. I can easily change it with something else if something comes along.
I am planning on discretely mounting a switch for the signal somewhere but haven't figured out the location yet. Any suggestions?

Maybe, but you're a "good" Bubba.

What about trying some red perspex sheet:

Or, maybe keep the stock clear lenses, and put some red bulb lacquer on your bulbs? This was on UK Ebay, but no doubt it's available in the US too:

Never used the stuff, so I don't know how long it lasts with the heat from the bulbs. Of course, you could probably apply the lacquer to the stock clear lenses too.

Just a reminder folks if your photos are so large they force everyone to scroll sideways to read the post then please reduce their size.

Please review this sticky:

I have edited the above photos from 145 to 200 K file sizes to 41 to 66K file sizes. As you can see by eliminating the scenery and just a wee bit of shrinking in one of the three photos I cut their file sizes by 2/3 rds without loosing any necessary detail.

You could also use Gamma Goat full red lenses on both sides - increased visablilty for use in traffic and they are military. Then if you wanted a stock appearance for parade or show duty, take 'em off and put on the original non-bubba lens.
