I'm going to be fitting the early type turn signals to my M38 (large relay box with screw terminals on top).
Looking at the wiring diagram here:

I'm guessing that since this is a generic diagram for several types of truck, I don't need to worry about the following wire lines:
491 - parking lights ('cos the M38 didn't have them)
490 - clearance lamp to trailer socket (ditto)
Can anyone confirm if this boy's guesses above are correct?

Yes the wire diagram is not vehicle specific. The kit was originally released for all MV's in the European area because signals were mandated by NATO. The kit's use later was expanded to other commands.
