Saw this off of EWILLYS
This is insanely cool. Especially the engine detail.

Now that's impressive. Wonder if he'd be up for making some full size body panels?

Fantastic!
This guy needs to up it to 1:1 scale the head over to Philipines and show them how to do things acurately.

Very cool!
But, wait, where's all the rust and grime? Is it included? :-)

Is that brass he's using to make it out of?

This guy is good-but has WAAAY too much time on his hands..
When he's done and displays it i hope he sets it on top of
a mini oil slick for authenticity

Seeing this made me think back to my '82 trip to Aust/NZ. I met a Yank on the South Island of NZ who had an MB and GPW. He told me of a fellow in Christchurch named John Geesink who made jeep bodies (I still have his business card). I looked him up, checked out his shop (a glorified garage). Sure enough, he made G503 jeep bodies, fenders, hoods, etc. This was before MD Juan got in the biz. Geesink explained to me the simplicity of a jeep body; Though I wrenched plenty on my column shift 2A for many years, I'd never thought of it the way he described it, but I can see it in the series of photos of the model.

He liked Americans- maybe because they were the ones to liberate his area when he was a young man in Nazi-occupied Holland. (On that some trip, I met a German who had been a combat engineer captain. Captured by the Russians, he was one of two guys from his battalion or 500 who survived the war. Lost an eye in combat and spent 8 years in captivity. He was cycling around NZ, in his late 60s- one tough guy. Nothing to do with jeeps, though....)

I know I'm comparing apples to oranges here but thought this thread would benefit from another insane project of a scaled - operating ( 8O ) TOY.
