body mounting cusion's

i order body mount cusion for my a1 from a mv dealer/vendor, when they arrived they all were the same thicknest. but what im reading from the ord 9. the cusion are different in thickness. i assumed they would match up with the ord 9 manual.
is this going to cause me trouble trying to line the tub up????. thxs

Most kits now marketed are generic and do not follow the ORD 9. Even the original factory thicknesses listed in the ORD 9 do not always meet the needs of your frame/tub mating dimensions. The simple solution is to fabricate your own shims from a relatively sturdy material to match the diameter or shape of your generic kit's pads. Then go about the normal fitting of your tub to frame. Alignment generally starts at the rear crossmember by aligning the rear edge of the tub to it and then work forward with varying shim heights as needed to get the pedal and steering column centered in their respective holes and finally make minor adjustments as needed to aid in proper alignment of the front fenders/hood/grill. Also keep an eye on your starter kick pedal alignment.
