Front floor 'Hump' replacement
As you can tell from my mini-bio, I like to keep the costs down! I could fabricate 90% of the floor, but the 'hump' on the front floor pan of my M38 is beyond reclamation, and beyond my capabilities to fabricate. Anybody have any suggestions (other than $700-999 for a replacement)?

Keeping it cheap, my M38's PO fabricated a new transmission hump. Poor quality photos here:

When the toolbox and gas tank are in place, it doesn't look too bad.

I had a very simular problem with my trans hump and front floor. I was able to purchase new floor pans but found the hump to be irreplaceable due to parts unavailablity. So we ground and cut and patched and ground some more......and married my old hump to the new floor pans. So far....knock on sumptin green.....it all seems to be fitting back together. In terms of parts the repair is darn cheap.....it terms of manhours....its probably been the most costly repair I've made to the jeep so far.....toolbox replacment not withstanding. Does seem kind of "odd" that the floor pans are so readily available but the hump is not......but then again.....why are floor pans so available while tool boxes for A-1 are not......this green disease is sooo darn hard to understand....

If you don't have the hump section hat channel to help with forming the hump skin John at Midwest has the Hump hat channel.
