M151 wiper mod

Here are some pics to maybe give someone an idea or to copy in order to use M151 motors on your M38 or maybe to just give the ok to call me bubba.
This clears the hood when the windshield is folded down (at least on mine).
I cut a 3/4" section out of the drive shaft and 5/8" off of the end of the brass outer shaft. After I welded the shaft back together, ground it back round and put it back together. On the 1st motor, I had removed the manual arm in order to remove the o-ring that sits right behind it because I thought the weld heat might get to it. On the 2nd one, I just left all that on and hit it with a weld at a time and dunked it in water before the heat could go anywhere.
I decided to just use the arms the previous owner had since they fit the round drive gear end (I don't know what it is called
). I just need to paint them. I think they still sell that size arm to.
Cheers,
Brett
