Generator problem

Post by Niclas »

Hi

I have converted my Jeep from 6v to 12v

Generator is a GJP-7402A with a Bosch voltage regulator (14V 38A).
Got it from the shop that overhauled the Generator.
But I forgot to ask how to wire the thing :/

1:st

The small problem is there is no markings on the generator
All I have is a thin and a little thicker screw and a ground screw. so which one is ARM and FLT or what they are called ?

2:nd

The Regulator have 3 screws

1 marked Gen, A, Dyn, 51 ---> which Screw on Generator (my guess this is Arm)
2 marked F, Exc, 67 ---> which screw on Generator?? (my guess this is Flt)
3 BAT, 30 ---> goes to AMP meter or Battery (that i know)

Connect the generator's small screw to the field terminal on the regulator. Connect the generator's big screw to the gen terminal on the regulator. Connect the batt terminal on the regulator to the battery or the main power switch. Connect the ground screw on the generator to one of the regulator's mounting screws. Don't forget to flash the field before starting the engine.
