I posted some pics in my gallery album for those like me who did not or do not have one of those neato military water pump pully removal tools.
I Had a brainstorm the other night after discussing with members here and on G503,about how to and how not to pull a water pump pully off the pump.
I looked around the garage and found my Plews steering wheel puller set, then looked at the spare fan blade i had from a F134 water pump, and it came to me.
I used the screw portion of the puller and the center section, along with the fan blade and 4 bolts 2 inches long with the same thread as the fan bolts. If you look at the pictures you can see how it was used.
Long story short,no damage to the fan blade or the two pullys i removed. The shafts on the pumps are just a few thousanths larger than the screw shaft on the steering wheel puller.Worked perfect, and took about 60 seconds.

That's a clever bit of brainstorming! I'm gonna have to file that idea away for my future use. Thanks! :)

I know this is an old post but I can't find the picture in the gallery. Anyone have it or know where it is?
