Rust Prevention

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to pass on some info of a new patented product a friend of mine formulated. He restores muscle cars and invented a compound that not only prevents rust, but is impervious to water, salt, phosphoric acid, battery acids, and oils. I just rebuilt my fuel pump and carb and applied it during the rebuild. It is amazing. All you have to do is wipe off any fouling, residues, oils, tars etc that drip, build up or splatter. It makes a hydrophobic barrier with an extremely low surface tension so nothing will stick. Kinda like a RainX for your jeep. depending on how much you drive, you only need to apply it every one to two years. It is independent lab tested, and I am now putting it all over the undercarriage of my M170. I told him I would pass the word on as a favor. The product is called RPM and can be found at ecsautomotive.com.

RPM won best new product out of over 2000 entries at the SEMA national car show.

Looks like it is meant for surfaces that are left as bare metal - parts that were not painted by the factory. I'm curious why you would put it "all over the undercarriage of my M170"?

It can be used on coated surfaces also, just will not penetrate surface as well. I have applied it to my exhaust, axles, floorpans, wheel wells, battery box, etc. So far, so good.

This stuff is awesome. My friend Rich turned me on to it. They sprayed a bare, unpainted sheet of metal to show it's effectiveness, left it outdoors all year, and it still had no rust!
