and I think it's bad. According to the test I got from Wes, it should read zero pressure when the sender side is grounded. It reads that. It should read maximum pressure when the side is not grounded. It reads 15 PSI. When it is hooked up to the sender, and the ignition is turned on, but I haven't started the vehicle, it reads 15 PSI. When I start the vehicle, it reads still 15 PSI. No matter how long of a drive I take it on, it stays at 15 PSI. I tested the sender, and it reads the correct Ohms. The thing is, this is the second oil pressure gauge I have gotten in a row from John at Midwest Military, and they both do the exact same thing. The new one (a free replacement by him) worked for a little while, but now it's as bad as the old one.
I just recently posted about the gas gauge not working. It's also my second in a row from John. He says he got all the gauges out of the same batch. Any ideas?

As has been said many times before: The military surplused out whatever things were excess to their needs and whatever brand new stuff they received that did not meet specs or suffered some imperfections. The surplus resellers are only selling what they bought from the government's surplus sales location.

The only advice I can offer is to try to get your hands on a later production gauge. One with rubber Packard connectors and convert the connector. Also with the oil pressure make sure both the sender and the gauge are set for the same range. 0-60 or 0-120. Don't mix and match.

Thanks Wes. That is actually what I did, I placed an order with Rapco. The sender is 60 PSI, and so is the new gauge I ordered.
