I'm interested in the slave cable. How long are the cables? Is it the correct one for the M38?

It will work for the M-38 but i wouldn't call it correct. The long+ is 32" and
will reach the pos starter pole. the short- is 11" and will ground to the hole
in the fender where the cable clamp would be. To be correct the neg lead would be closer to 30" and bolt the the front starter mount support.
It mounts up clean but if
you're after a factory resto it's not for you..
