Hello everyone, I finally felt the need for a M38a1 and found one that needed my love, Just thought I would say hello and I'll be looking forward to reading all about the Carter YS 950 and all the little neato things that belong to the M38a1's. I'm just joking about the YS
I got lucky, my score was pretty much original except for the ignition and carbration civi mods, well I have found most of the correct items to get it back to stock as it should be, now to get rid of the red paint and return it back to the olive drab glory !

Welcome Eric!
Always nice to have another A1 on board!
Don't tease us too long, we get restless easily.

Great to see another high desert A1! Mine is out of Apple Valley. If it's spent it's life in the desert it should be in nice shape. If you ever want to do some parts trading let me know.

Looks like you're off to a good start on the body work! Are you going through everything on it?

Thanks for the notes,
I posted more pictures in the photo album under my nickname. Yes it has lots of needed bodywork, but no rust, as stated, it is a desert vehicle. It was a San Berdo county vehile them went to San berdo fire and somehow became a yard tractor for some yard. I fiqure this is when it was smashed up pushing stuff around the yard. It was sold at auction to the person I picked it up from. He had it for many years and it mostly sat waiting for someone to get it back in service. I decided since I always liked the look of the a1 I would do it up. It is in good mechanical condition so right now I am going to just do a cosmetic reso on it and run it as is. I would like to do a frame up but Tower Park is near and I don't have the extra $$$ right now. It will be nice just the same.
