Does anyone have a picture of the rubber isolation pad (WO-800389, ORD 9 page 325) that goes between the BO drive lamp bracket and the fender on the M38?
Thanks.

This isolation pad is a bit of a mystery. Only the M38 used it. There have black thin, blank rubber reproductions made in the 1990's but I don't believe they are correct.
In the 1970's I got some NOS pads from an old surplus dealer. They always puzzled me because they were made of a light grey, closed cell foam rubber about 1/4" thick. I still have some.
I believe they are original. If anyone has an original surviving on a jeep then it is probably squashed flat and darkened from age and dirt. Does anyone have a surviving pad to confirm the texture and color where it has been protected from weathering?

Thanks Folks. :D
I guess that raised bit in the middle is close to it's original thickness, and the outer perimeter where it's compressed against the bolts. George @ Army Jeep Parts had them advertised on his site, but were on "backorder". Not sure when (or if) he'll get some more in. Also, don't know if his are NOS or repro. Haven't found another source yet.

Regarding the colour, the original mounting pads for my headlights (between the headlight & grille) had a greyish tinge to them; wonder if the original isolation pads were grey after all, and not black? :?

Brian: would you be willing to part with one of your NOS blackout drive light pads for cash (delivered to the not-so-sunny UK)?

Thanks,
