Hello: When i took my rear brakes apart the Long rear pad was to the front of the vehicle. Manual also shows picture with long pad it to the front.
Is this correct..?
Isn't long pad usually placed toward the rear of the vehicle?

These are non-servo type brakes. That is to say the two shoes are both anchored to the back plate and they only move outward at the end with the wheel cylinder. Hence the large shoe goes to the front.
Modern servo type brakes allow the two shoes to float at the bottom anchor point so when the front (short) shoe contacts the drum it will help push the (longer) rear shoe more tightly against the drum.
The manual also describes the lengths of the linings in detail as well and that wording clearly states longer lining forward.

Thanks..
I am glad long goes to the front, because i already had installed new shoes with long to front.
