Motor oil

Post by Texbillhs »

I heard something interesting this morning. We know the destructiveness of lead-less ethanol gas, the damage to carburetors, fuel lines, gauge floats and sludge in fuel tanks and we compensate with a 50/50 aviation/E10auto gas or an additive, but I never knew there is danger in using modern motor oil that is missing zinc. I am now going to look for zinc in the oil or add a additive for zinc which is needed to prevent valve cam damage.
