HELP! CORRECT OIL FILTER AND BRACKET OIL FILTER

Hello friends,
I need to know what the correct model for the BRACKET OIL FILTER FOR WILLYS M38 (EARLY VERSION)
Besides BRACKET, also need to know which model OIL FILTER correct for the same WILLYS M38 (EARLY VERSION).
My jeep has FORDING System KIT, Snorkel.

I wonder what is the correct model for my M38 (EARLY VERSION).
Several times I have seen pictures with BRACKET equal to his, but using the two types of oil filter.
So I would like to know the correct model for my M38, and when did this change filters.
Still need more details.

For all M-38s except for the Pilot vehicles (initial vehicles made for governemt approval) had the Cuno style oil filter...
In all the figures I have looked at in TM-9=8012 the proper bracket would be the one with a circular hole in the top... in your photos the bracket on the left...

I stopped at this point...
Those M-38s with the Miltary Jr or Canister type filters are modifications done by the military or previous owners to have a changeable oil filter...
You might look in TM-8012 and see what the photos in there show...

Thanks for the information.
I had seen the manuals always show the filter as you said, but did not know the model type canister was a change made later to obtain a filter changing. I'll keep my canister filter at the beginning of the restoration, because we are spending too much money.
At the end of the restoration I do to change the filter.
To make this change, I believe it is very simple, just remove the old filter and install the correct model, right? Or is it more necessary some kind of change?

The 6 pilot model M38's during the summer of 1950 used the military junior. The rest of the 62,000 M38's used the Cuno filter.

All production M38's used this arrangement. The hoses are different lengths when compared to the military junior installation. Just follow the M38 ORD 9 parts list for Cuno installation.

If the only change will be the hoses, I'll leave it to the end of the restoration.
It will be easy to change the filter and hoses after complete restoration.

Keep in mind that the oil line threads in BEHIND the fuel pump
and access is limited if you plan to change them out at the end
of your resto..

Yes, of course.
Thanks for the tip. Before mounting the fuel pump, I'll make this change the oil filter.
I believe that is one of the last things to be installed in the engine before it'll still go through the body, painting, restoring each accessory individually.
