Diff lockspreferances

Post by davem201m38 »

I need your help guys.
I have a M38 MC 10 spline that I would like to put locking diffs in.
What I would like is a fit and forget system that you don't know is there , a limited slip unit that will lock up and then unlock as required. Eventually I'd like one in the front as well.

A vendor in the US has offered me either the Power Trax or the Power lock.

The power lock is about $100 more expensive so I figure it's a $100 better, does my thinking make sense?

Anyway I have no experience of either so I would appreciate some advice as regards fitting and living with both options. ie. What do you guys think?
many thanks,
Dave.

Dave,
I posted your question on the early CJ5 Dauntless page where more folks use more drive train aftermarket goodies. Here's the link to the thread:
