Anybody ever have the misfortune to break one of these? Could anyone please tell me if and or where a spare could be found. . . or is this just something I will need to fabricate/jerry rig?

You'll have to quiz a few of the carb rebuilders for used Solex parts. Just google Solex 32 or 34 series parts .
