Hello: i noticed the replacement throwout release bearing carrier has its spring eye location about 1" forward of original.
Is this an issue?
Will it cause spring to fail due to over stretching?
My original carrier has some wear from fork.

I'd stick with original clutch sleeve and spring. If you elect to use a different sleeve then make sure you have the vendor advise you of what model it is for and if he has the correct spring for that model.
As for knowing what is correct simply look at the illustration in the M38A1 TM 9-8014 page 232 figure 122.
