M38 Axe Handle Bracket
Perhaps my eyes are deceiving me but it looks like one leg of the axe handle bracket is bent slightly different than the other. Is there a "correct" way of installing the bracket. After all it can only go on 1 of 2 ways. I've looked at your phots Wes but I can tell from them, or am I over thinking this?

Yes the bracket is not symetrical. One side is bent differently than the other. It is simple to sort out. The bend helps the bracket tilt itself aft and out. The top leg has the odd bends in it.
