Like a Dummy I purchased a set of Omix-Ada brake lines. They were the most god awful mess I've ever seen. I didn't even use them. I went to Bumper to Bumper auto parts and purchased the straight lines and bent My own. They were cheaper than Napa and Oriellys. I also bought a straight line flaring tool and had good luck with the double flares. I used Harbor Frieghts smaller tubing bender. I also had a tubing bender made sort of like a pair of pliers, a "must have" for tight bends. I am very pleased witth the results.

I can only imagine! Omix Ada quality never ceases to amaze me! I finally learned my lesson when I bought my last piece of their crap a couple of years ago.

I was shocked by the price of the pre-made kits. I bought a 25' roll of tubing and fittings from AZ. Its even got a nice OD color to it. I think I was into all the hard brake lines for less that $40.

Same here - Advance and Oreilly have the same green finish stuff around here too. I used it for the fuel line too.

Wesk- They weren't routed correctly, looked sloppy and crude Just like they had no pride in workmanship when they bent them. Crisk- I should have said inline flaring tool. lots of videos on u-tube. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures to post. I will when I figure out how to post them. Brett, Wilfreeman Yes the color matched very well and not all that difficult. It doe's take a while but it is worth it.

Is there a decent replacement for at least the S-shaped front wheel lines?

I may have the wherewithal to attempt larger radius bends for the longer brake lines as you all suggest, but those little guys up front are keeping me awake a night.

The "S" lines show up with several vendors. Just shop for them.

Even they can be made up without too much difficulty. There are plenty of tubing benders to choose from as well as the springs to help avoid collapsing the tubes in sharp bends. As a last resort filling the tube with fine sand and capping the tubes, then heat them and bend them slowly in increments to get the "S". Use small pin forms or dowell forms to loop the "S"'s.

I purchase a set also, brake lines I made work. cant say that for the fuel line kit I bought.
