Fellows
I would like to know what is the correct syren type for the M38.
There is an opportunity to buy one 24V, but I would like to check if it is correct for my Jeep.
There is a data plate on the top, with the follow inscriptions:
U.S.ARMY
Contract No.
DSA-400-75-C 5458
Syren Eletric motor operated 24Vdc
Mars signal Light CO. Naples, FLA
Is it correct for a M38?
I´ll try to put some pictures.
Regards
Syren

Hello Luciano,
Willys did not supply the M38 from the factory with a siren. If the military needed to put a siren on the jeep they just procured one from their supply system. The only degree of correctness to be concerned with when installing a siren is that it's date of manufacture should match the period in time that you want your M38 to portray, it came from the correct military supply system and is mounted where you have some evidence they were mounted during that period.
