Well I took my carb apart and cleaned it. Had some gunk in it.
Double checked the float and noticed it is not set to spec. It is sitting at 19/64ths instead of 9/64ths
I read the manual on setting these, my problem is I am not sure if I am supposed to adjust it sitting the way it is because my float needle/seat is the kind with a spring that pushes up on it and from what I understand they added the spring later.
Would this effect the adjustment at all?

Wes says that the Discharge Ball and Weight are important because without them the fuel is taken from the accelerator circuit and makes the carb run super rich.
Mine is missing too, waiting for my Ron F kit to arrive. I hope it has that ball and weight in it. If not, I will try the local carb rebuilder to see if they can hook me up.
