Transfer Case & Diffs gears ratio

Post by RETIREDJEEP »

:?: I've got 2 1/2 doners for my project, is there a problem with inter-changing the front and rear diffs? Will the different gear ratios be a problem with the transfer case ratio? Hope this make sense.

If you want the transfer case to last a long time. If you want the jeep to handle well in 4WD then you must use the same ratios in both the front and rear axle.
