or, more specifically, the antennae. It's all mounted correctly, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to attach the antennae power cord from the radio to the antennae base. Only suggestions?

What is your question...
The first photo looks like a PL-259 male connector it would screw onto the antenna base, it has a female socket; center photo...
The cable then is routed thru the base of the MP-50 mount, thru the hole in the rear corner of the tub (if you have drilled one (7/8" approx.)) and then the BNC (Last photo) connects to the female socket on the front of the radio...
This is assuming that the radio is mounted on the driver's rear position on the MT-299 mount...
Hope this helps...

You need a UHF Male ( connector on the antenna) to BNC female ( connector on the cable) adapter to install the cable. Should be able to get one at a Radio Shack store.

The problem is, the male "connector" in the first photo is just a plugs that screws on to the female connector on the antennae base. It came with the antennae. There is no wire connected to it. The antennae wire in the third photo has that same connector on both ends. One side screws into the radio. that was not problem. I don't see where it screws into the antennae base, that female connector is all wrong for it.
