New to Military Jeeps but not to Jeeps

Good evening folks. First off.... thanks for having here. I look forward to sharing in my new adventure and learning as I go along.
I have previously owned a few different models in the Jeep family. started with a 89 YJ, a 2005 Grand Cherokee, a 1998 Cherokee, a 2000 TJ and finally have moved up in the world with my newly aquired 1952 M38.
Overall it looks in overall decent shape. Body is dinged up but not rotted. Time will tell if I find any hidden rust under the multiple layers of paint.
It has a 53 F Head under the hood right now and will keep that for now but will eventually swap that out for an L head when I find the proper engine.
But first I will clean this up, add all the electrical as it has all been cut out. It's a 12v system now so not sure how electrical will go with original markers, tail lights and such.
I would like a reference on engine parts of a 1953 with the F head though if anyone has it. It looks to be missing components but unsure what exactly. The engine runs but don't want to run it to long if it missing needed components to keep it healthy.
Again, thanks for having me
