I don't recall them being any type of challenge. Do you have the military front plate? I believe the civvy plate has smaller rubbers.

They can be a SOB to install. Try using silicone grease.

Boil them in a pot of vegetable oil. Be sure to suspend them from a piece of wire so they don't come in contact with the metal surface of the pot.

I had ordered a set of bushings , They came as not rubber , but the plastic type. No matter what I tried ,vice, c clamp could not get them thru the holes ended up using the rubber type buzz

Sounds like I was sent the wrong ones years ago then. Mine were split into 2 halves. Easy install, but my generator loosened up last year and started knocking. I took everything apart to find the problem (didn't find anything other than being loose in the bushings) and put it back together. No problems after about 200 miles so far.

Hello All, Thanks for the feedback. Yes mine were sold to me as original parts and are made out of the plastic type material vs rubber. I am in same situation as buzzk, just cant get them installed.
Does anyone know where i can get the rubber type, other option is to cut them in half like wilfreeman experienced.
Wes would boiling in vegetable oil help the plastic type material?

You would need to be careful how long since the plastic will deform permanently at some point.
