Both the male and female plugs can be taken apart by pushing the pins and sockets rearward out of the rubber blocks. I use a small nail set punch to push the female sockets out. The wire will remain soldered to the socket but it can be detached by heating with a solder iron. Mark which wire goes in which position. When putting the pins back in the rubber blocks a little silicone grease will help them slip in.

It will be interesting to find out why you even need to remove the receptacle on top of the GI generator.
You will find the wires hardwired to the fields and brushes. As mentioned above the same procedure applies to all the Bendix-Scintilla plugs and receptacles on the jeep.
Review the published tech data specific to these Bendix-Scintilla plugs/receptacles before you putz with them. It's found in Army TM 9-1825E.
It's also here on our downloads page for free.
