PTO Winch questions

Post by Deadguy »

I re-boxed the end of my frame, and installed a fabrication of the military winch frame for my Ramsey 190L PTO winch. Now the winch sits up a little higher than it did, and I need to cut the driveshaft in the middle and install a new ujoint assembly so it clears the bellcrank. I was looking at aggricultural equipment stores, and I saw this on ebay. Does anyone know if this will fit? Image

Those come in various sizes. You need to measure the diameter of your winch drive drive shaft and then buy one with the same diameter holes in each end.

The photo above is a nice photo but offers us absolutely no way to ID it's size and you haven't bothered to tell us the diameter of your shafts.

It's a 3/4" drive shaft on my winch, and it's a 200L, not 190L, I think that is the second time I've made that mistake. Ever since I had brain cancer back in 2001, my memory has been shot.
The joint I posted is for a M 715, so I doubt it fits. No other info is provided. John from Midwest Military suggested Joe from Vintage Wiring, and I just shot him an email.
