Stuck in 2nd Gear

Does anyone have a quick fix for an M38a1 T-90 that's stuck in second gear.

I went out for a drive today, backed out of the garage, went out in first gear, was on the road for a little bit and shifted to second. Then, couldn't get it out of second at all.

Made it back to the shop, rolled out of the garage, and we went back in and determined that we could go in second in 4wd low and high, and 2 wheel low and high, but could not get into any other gear.

There's nice tension on the clutch. Put in the clutch and the jeep rolls. So, the clutch is engaging.

I don't want to pull the engine and rebuild the tranny. Any suggestions before I go that route?

Start at removing the tranny top cover with it's cane. You may have a damaged shifting fork, or damaged synchronizer assembly or just a loose shifting fork.

Big Screwdriver

Thanks Wes! Wound up using a big screwdriver to move the gears a little, and it now works! Woo Hoo! I don't have to do a rebuild just yet.
