cleaning gauge lens

anybody know of a way to clean up the lenses on the gauges i e: fuel, temp, volt, oil, by use of a drill and pad, rubbing compound, chrome polish, etc.thx buz

I did my speedo with a turtle wax headlight polishing kit, they are pretty inexpensive and it does a good job, takes some elbow grease mind you.

Buzz, wet sand it with 2000 wet or dry, and then buff it out by hand with 3m "finness it 2" buffing compound. Mine came out fantastic. You can also use the buffing compound to clean gas fireplace fronts. It takes the white mineral off with no scratching. great stuff. John
