Shocks

Post by GPA »

Received a pair of front shocks for a MB from a vendor. I'd like to know who the manufacturer was. They came in plain white boxes. There is a number on the box 24417 and Made in USA, but no name of manufacturer. On the shock itself there is a mark TOP with the arrow, Made in USA, below P99461 B312-065 in one row. There is another number in larger digits, 17069. These are all stamped in the metal not just a sticker The shocks are black in color. I have checked Monroe, no luck. Is it really an American product? US manufacturers are not afraid to show their name on their product. Has anyone seen these?

Interesting. Gabriel and RockAuto do not appear to show the 82014 shock available anymore.

If you do a google search for "willysmjeeps.com shocks" you will get many threads you can refer to. This is the last one this past January:
