Pivot Eye

Post by aforests »

I am looking to replace the bushings in the pivot eye of my springs. I'm a little puzzled on the rubber that surrounds the bushing and what to do with it. Does that need to be replaced as well? I don't see it as an option on the various parts websites. Any additional info would be appreciated.

I seem to recall that item "X" below is a bonded metal/rubber/metal assembly that you drive into the eye of the second leaf.

Here is a better picture of it. From what I can tell it looks like this is what you would find on an m38a1 not a m38??

Do you think I could just leave it and not replace it? looks pretty worn out.
