Something to remember....

...especially for you newer HMV owners - like me - who have had their vehicle in hibernation all winter.

When you go out to start your jeep for the first time in the spring and the engine turns over and over but doesn't catch. Before you tear into your carb to pour some gas into it and before you skin your knuckles up when removing a plug wire to check for spark, try starting your jeep just one more time. This time make sure, MAKE VERY SURE, that the electrical switch is in the ON position. DOH!

Yup!! And when you turn on the switch and nothing happens, you press the starter button and still nothing?? Before you start pricing new batts, checking terminals, 1st check the remote batt disconnect is turned back on! :oops:

Actually you did it right! You should turn the engine over to see if it leaked water into a cylinder and is not hydraulically locked. That is in the manual for a m35A2 diesel multifuel truck! Imagine if it lit? Oh boy. So, pat yourself on the back. Very smart guy now huh? John
