I get moving along so quick and all too often assume the basics of troubleshooting are an understood when in many cases with a hobby like this they are not. Anytime we troubleshoot electrical issues one of the very first steps is to check all connections in the circuit for cleanliness, corrosion and make sure they are all tight. This inspection is a touch-feel inspection and not just an eyeball job. You can't inspect a connection unless you disconnect it!
