M-38 ??: Accelerator linkage on rear of block: bolt dia.?

Post by Jordan »

There are two holes in the rear of the block of the m-38 engine for fastening the accelerator linkage bracket to the rear of the block. What is the hole diameter and thread pitch of those holes? Neither 1/4 fine or coarse bolts seem to want to screw into those holes on my block.

Thanks,

You must have run a tap or thread chaser in each and found that they are indeed 1/4x20NC-3x9/16".
