M38 Distributor

I would like to verify the distributor on my M38 #65578. Is it original to an M38?

IAU 4006AUT

This distributor was original to the M38A1. As the correct IAU4006UT distributor for your M38 ran out of stock the IAU4006AUT was substituted. The IAU4006AUT has a centrifugal advance curve matched to the F134 engine but it will work on your L134 engine.

Wes, did the earlier IAU4006UT also have the slot adjustment as the IAU4006UT has? Thanks for the info!!

I assume you meant to say " Does the earlier IAU4006UT have the same slot adjustment as the IAU4006AUT? Yes if you are referring to the adapter plate that fastens between the distributor and the engine block.
