Plug wires
Any way to repair the end of these plug wires, instead of buying replacement wires?

Yes. We still repair and build this type harness lead on modern piston aircraft today. The spring is retained by a left threaded pin that is screwed into the center of the wire. A pin vise is the ideal tool for removing and installing this pin. The red nipple just slides over the end of the wire and then you screw the pin/spring assembly into the end of the wire. The most common harness we repair today are the Slick harnesses. Champion now owns the Slick line.

This is a Harness small parts kit.

This is the tool kit.
I've got a PDF somewhere for the harness repairs & assembly instructions on the Slick aircraft harnesses. It can all be adapted to these distributor harnesses.

Has anyone bought this set of plug wires? If so, how did they work for you? Quality? Length?, etc...

If you are interested in repairing the set you have, here is a kit on ebay. If nothing else, you can see what parts are involved with the repair.
