M38A1 fuelpump

I think these fuelpumps are allergic to Ethanol gas, its that simple

Its not just the pumps.

If the carb was rebuilt you should have newer gaskets and/or diaphragms
made for ethanol gas service. I believe Then and Now supplies compliant material in their kits.

That and sitting for long periods of time with ethanol gas drying in your systems way worse than the old days of regular leaded.

bought a carb kit from John@ Midwest Military......hope it is ethanol tolerant

The only components currently suffering from exposure to ethanol based fuels are the older rubber parts. Stick to the modern carb kits from Midwest Mil, AJP and RF Jeep Parts and the fuel pump modern kits from then and now and you won't have a problem with ethanol.
