Most of those 40's & 50's depots would completely disassemble a jeep at the start of the depot overhaul. they went thru a production line. The rebuilds were all body off rebuilds and the frames were stamped with a serial not so the original jeep stayed together thru the production line but so they would end up with a serial for each jeep at the end of the production line and they would put that serial #"s serial plates and hood number back on it. This is why surplus jeeps are often found with parts that should have been on another serial group on them.

Good eye Wes!

I was looking for the dash plate holes but couldn't make them out.

Now we need a pic from the other side!

I must admit I didn't appreciate the importance of that side of the dash. I will take some better close ups to show that area.

Actually you really lack good full coverage overalls of your jeep. Shots that include enough of a view to digest the whole jeep.

The photo Brian is trying to squeeze out of you is the right half of the firewall.

Unfortunately life has been getting in the way. Survey is being completed a little slower than hoped but is getting there. Attached are some photo's to provide a better 'whole' and some of the engine.

Morning Eric!

Your photos have to be bracketed with
Image at the rear.

Looks like you are putting some of them in the wrong places.

Take care,

Well that is a dash that had the plates individually
attached from the factory. The holes are very evident
in one of your latest photos.

The radiator brace rod looks like a replacement. Certainly
not factory with that u shape in it, but probably
very practical!

Still would like to see the firewall behind the air cleaner.
I think you can stick your camera between the left side bracket
and the air cleaner near the bottom to get a good look at the firewall.

Still, a lot to work with there!
