What's the easiest way to install a new rear bumper on my 1952 M38 CDN.
Do I need to completely remove the steel plate where the pintle hook attaches, then weld it back in????
Thanks
Peter (ottawa)

Hi Peter,
The only way to replace the rear cross member is effectivaly remove the steel plate. To remove this plate, cut the soldered joint around with a grinder and weld it back in after the new rear cross member is on it's place.
Best regards from Trois-Rivieres
