M38 Fender mounted B/O drive light questions

Post by SledDog »

I've taken apart the Fender mounted B/O light but can't figure out how to remove the inner lens assembly to remove the bulb. Any suggestions? I can post some pics if that helps explain what I'm attempting to do.

The inner lens shield, hood and light assembly are manufactured as a unit. You can pry them apart but the entire bulb assembly w/ cover are supposed to be replaced as a whole.

lamp project?

Post by oldgreentrucks »

I have successfully drilled a 1 in hole in the back of a bad lamp and inserted a license plate style light. A little gasket sealer and good to go. Sometimes we spend way to much time on a project... But it works well.
